Amazon's Ring Doorbell PDP showcases premium features unavailable to other sellers. Despite high vendor fees and commissions, Amazon limits access to these valuable product page elements while offering few new programs for brand investment.

If #Amazon wanted to, they would! Just look at the PDP of Amazon’s own Ring Doorbell...

It’s packed with features that most vendors and sellers can only dream of:

✅ Trade-in discounts
✅ Feature overview of the latest models
✅ Variation carousel for different configurations
✅ “Add additional items” below the Buy Box

Meanwhile, 2025 vendor negotiations were marked by a lack of new programmes and innovations for brands to invest in.

To the Amazon executives reading this:

It's time to return to building real value for vendors through meaningful investment programmes.

My work with 1P brands has shown time and time again that investing in base accruals, Co-op, and merchandising fees lacks the return of revenue-attributable growth.

So why not roll out these PDP features more broadly to begin to justify the high base terms and commissions paid by both 1P and 3P brands?
