Amazon's summer tradition: melting your inventory and your patience.
Sellers of chocolate, gummies, and wax-based products, Amazon has spoken. If your inventory melts in heat, you have until April 15, 2025, to remove it from FBA before Amazon disposes of it.
That is right. After May 1, any leftover meltable stock will be marked unfulfillable and disposed of for a fee.
Quick recap
✔️ Meltable products are banned from FBA between April 15 and October 15
✔️ This includes anything that melts at 155°F, like chocolate, gummies, jelly, and wax-based products
✔️ You can still sell these products with FBM, but you must handle temperature-sensitive shipping
But even if you don't sell products with this condition, check the Meltable ASIN list, which Amazon updates regularly. Why? Sometimes Amazon includes listings that are NOT even close to meltable.
For example, I once had a seller selling a hairbrush that was mistakenly listed as meltable. Yes, a hairbrush!!
If your ASIN is listed and you disagree, submit a review request and proof that your product can withstand 155°F for extended periods. ASAP.

This rule is nothing new, but sellers get caught off guard every year. Do not be that seller.
Will you sell meltable products with FBM, or are you pausing sales until fall?
