🎉 Amazon's Bundle Bonanza 🎉
Amazon has "clarified" (more like totally revamped!) the rules for custom bundles. With VERY LOUD feedback from sellers, they've given the Consumables Bundling Policy a makeover because the old rules were, let's say, a bit too arduous. You could feel the fury from resellers through social media!
🏢 Direct from Amazon HQ:
"We heard your feedback that the policy lacked clarity, making it difficult to understand how it impacts your business. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and we appreciate you providing feedback to help us improve."
➡️ Here's the scoop:
Manufacturer's Magic Bundles Only: Now, only bundles that come straight from the manufacturer or brand are on the menu. No more playing DIY bundle chef!
Repackage with a Pass: Fancy repackaging? You'll need a special permission slip, aka a Letter of Authorization from the brand owner. And remember, all items must be from the same brand family!
Gift Basket Gala: Good news for gift baskets! You can mix brands, but it has to be gift-ready. I expect Amazon to further clarify what "gift-ready" means to them...
💡 What Happens Next?
😬 Effective TODAY: All new consumable bundles must follow this brand-spanking new policy.
⌛ Existing Bundles Countdown: Enforcement kicks off on January 1, 2025. If your bundle was blessed by the brand or an authorized seller, you're golden. Otherwise, it's time to rethink your strategy.
🛑 Out with the Unauthorized: No more rogue bundles or mixing brands without the brand's nod of approval.
Like always, Amazon is trying to find a happy medium making both brand owners and resellers happy.
Honestly, I think they struck it with this update. It seems pretty fair, and it should keep legitimate resellers decently happy.
