AMC Audiences to Sponsored Ads Campaigns | Is this potentially the biggest Amazon Ads rollout in recent memory? 😮
Simply put - Soon enough, we will be able to create & layer in AMC audiences to Sponsored Ads campaigns. Essentially this means that we'll be able to drill down Sponsored Ads targeting across specific audiences that fit a particular criteria.
"With this new offering, advertisers can create custom audiences, such as shoppers who have not previously purchased their product and shoppers who were exposed to their streaming TV campaigns. Advertisers can adjust their bids for these audiences to help drive greater product discovery and sales."
As an example (from my understanding) - Historically, we haven't had the ability to target specific audiences via Sponsored Ads (outside of SD) - Keyword targeting is essentially targeting those who are hypothetically about to make a purchase. With this update, we can layer in an AMC audience of those who have seen one of our ads in the past, or engaged with one of our ads in the past, but haven't purchased, and implement that as a "bid boost" across that specific customer subset.
Note from Dustin Wassner: "Currently, there is ZERO visibility within Ad Console for an AMC audience, its performance, its % increase, or even its existence. This is all managed through the API – I would have to guess this will be changing in the near future."
This has the potential to be one of the biggest updates we've seen to Amazon Ads in quite some time!
