73,163 ASINs fit this criteria:

• Brand is NOT Generic
• Amazon OOS <5% over the past 90 days
• 3+ avg number of sellers over past 30 days
• 10% - 250% increase in price over the past 7 days

AND

A 3rd party seller owns the buy box.

Here's the strategy to find them. A thread.

First, let's talk about why you may want to find these.

You CAN compete with Amazon and still sell through your inventory.

You will want to make sure they seem to be sharing the buy box but it happens more frequently than you think.

Many sellers stay away from these listings.

You'll be using Keepa Product Finder (KPF).

The first filter to use will be the Buy Box 7 Day Drop %

Using negative numbers we can find all the products that have gone up in price.

The smallest number always goes first. In this example that's -250.

It looks like this:

You'll want to stay away from any Generic branded listings.

In the Text filters under brand you'll change the drop down from "is one of"" to ""is none of".

Then type "generic" in the brand filter.

This will remove the ASINs that may get you in trouble.

It looks like this:

You'll filter to 3+ sellers over the past 30 days.

This'll remove many PL brands that Amazon may also sell as well as a lot of brand direct listings that may have 1 or 2 authorized sellers.

It's not a perfect science but it helps.

That filter looks like this:

The most important part of this process is to pull ASINs that have 3rd party sellers in the buy box even while Amazon is on the listing.

This will increase the chances that the ASINs have a history of BB rotation.

You'll make sure Amazon is in stock 95% or more over the last 90 days.

You will find that 3rd party sellers compete against Amazon less frequently than they may on other listings.

This can open up some fast moving ASINs without a lot of competition.

It looks like this:

You may want to further filter your results to have fewer ASINs to look through.

Some filters that may be helpful:

• BSR
• BB Price
• BSR Drop %
• BB Price Drop %

You may even want to filter out more brands you can't or don't want to sell.

Be sure to use different variations of filters.

Find products that look like the BB is rotated among Amazon and 3rd party sellers.

Track the sellers that seem like they have several listings alongside Amazon. They may have other listings doing just as well.
