Use your email list. Despite iOS15 hurting your data/insights, your email list is still a powerful asset. One of our ad clients is ramping spend up to the £100k mark next month (Q4 vibes), but they've got a beefy email list they don't use. Amazon are desperate for external traffic right now. Think Amazon Attribution and 10% Referral Bonus. If Amazon wants something, they reward brands for doing it. Usually with sales rank. Think halo effect post lightning deal. By sending email traffic to Amazon you lose margin, yes, but ask yourself, "what is our Amazon objective and how important is it?". It's ranking. Organic ranking for THAT keyword. You've got to invest in it. Use your assets.
Patient reviews. Learn this simple thing from a Kombucha brand with 1000 reviews. "It has taken a village....it ain't easy". [Calvin]. Next time you're moaning about how tough it is, perhaps you just need to be more patient.
Filthy blackhat reviews. Inside my package was a sealed plastic sleeve that read "bonus gift". I opened it. It was a 5-star review request. Incentivised with $25. Don't do this.
My Little Pony Packaging. You just try and make your (insert toddler age) through this box out. Good rule of thumb: "how can we make our customer keep our box as long as possible?". [Pony]. I still have my Away Travel box btw, for everyone not asking.
Are you mobile ready? A dull guide by GS1 on how to make your images better for mobile. I will read it, as someone smart told me to, but for now I'll just point you in the right direction as the UX/UI is grim. [Mobile]. It includes a 'Visual Clarity Test' from Cambridge University. Must be good.
Absolut Simple. Vodka brand from Sweden revisits their bottle. Tbh I didn't know they were from Sweden. Making that more obvious makes it more alluring to me personally. Strange how some brands fill their content with clutter and dilute what might appeal to their audience. A quick Facebook poll may help determining packaging here. "What phrase attracts you to our products most?". A: Sweden B: Blackout C: Imported etc. [Absolut].
Remarketing on Amazon. Bloody good news. If you've got high repeat purchases this is fantastic news. This increasing the likelihood of you getting that second a third purchase, which is insanely valuable for your sustainable growth. Plus, it drives down your acquisition cost, so you can beef up your bids. [Remarket].
9% of sellers are FBM only. Meaning they don't have Prime. If you're in an emerging market and new to Amazon, wondering if you should use FBA, let this be your guiding star. Yes, yes you should. [Prime].
Growth opportunities page. Save yourself heaps of cash on consultations and mini courses. This page will pinpoint a number of changes you can make and what impact they will have. e.g. "Enrol in Vine...typically increases sales 26.3%". See yours here.
